Ebensburg, Pa–Cambridge Retirement Living is pleased to announce Cambridge Ebensburg has received certification as a licensed provider of care for seniors with memory-related needs.

The official designation follows a year of upgrades and renovations at the senior care facility. Remodeled rooms, a new parking lot, movie theater, beauty salon and a life-size chess board are just a few of the new amenities there.

Now Cambridge Ebensburg’s secured memory care wing will begin serving seniors with Alzheimer’s or dementia-related needs in March 2021.

The memory care neighborhood is a just-around-the-corner approach to caring for seniors with memory related needs. Residents live separately, but not far from more typical senior care residents.

With this new neighborhood, Cambridge Ebensburg joins a growing list of care providers advocating for a more inclusive memory care style.

“Our goal is to provide the very best to lives altered by memory impairment,” says Cambridge Ebensburg Executive Director April Adams. “A memory care neighborhood creates a very important continuum of care–seniors can stay at Cambridge Ebensburg when their needs change.”

In addition to being licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Cambridge Ebensburg’s Staff Educator is also certified by the national Alzheimer’s Association.

Staff receive extensive training with the latest information from memory illness mentors and Alzheimer’s experts. Prestige-level care for all residents is the top priority.

The memory care neighborhood is composed of thirty-two beds. It is appropriately secured and shares common areas with our senior care wing. It will be overseen by April Adams, who brings seven years of senior care experience to the neighborhood.

Cambridge Ebensburg has availability for permanent, extended, and respite stay arrangements. Respite stays are short commitments that allow family or in-home caregivers a break from the strenuous responsibilities of caring for loved ones with memory-related illness.

Virtual Tours of Cambridge Ebensburg are encouraged and available. To set up a tour, or for other senior care inquiries please contact Rebekah Stratton at 814-205-0948
